  • Description: Community cookout designed to introduce Pitt students to the Homewood Community and its assets, secure new volunteers for Homewood community programming, and encourage Pitt students to explore different neighborhoods outside of Oakland.  I served a primary organizer to coordinate volunteers from Pitt's OT program, design a craft activity for attendees, and exhibited at a table with resources to connect underserved populations to occupational therapy community-based resources, as well as promote backpack safety and awareness.
